THE ON-GOING JOURNEY, Opening Day

In this watercolor workshop, we will explore the pathways to our best visual expressions. We will look at the relationship between intention and outcome. Medium: Watercolor (Ideas are applicable to other media.) Process: How do we get started? What do we need to do when we get “stuck?” What makes the development of a piece satisfying? When do we feel we have achieved our goals in the creation of a piece? (When do we stop?) This workshop will include techniques that will add spontaneity and expressiveness. We will practice the basics of image development in watercolor. We will explore possibilities that develop with mixing media. BASIC MATERIALS NEEDED: Watercolor palette of 8-12 colors Brushes: #6 or 8 round, #1 or 2 round, ¾” flat Watercolor pad of paper (Arches is a preferred brand.) Water container, paper towels.
